Mangaluru: The BJP Yuva Morcha will hold intense agitation throughout the district if BJP and Hindu leaders were booked under “false” cases, informed Dakshina Kannada BJP Yuva Morcha Chief Secretary Sandesh Shetty.
Speaking to media persons at a press meet here he said, “Police are targeting Hindu and BJP leaders by registering false cases. In the coming days, BJP Yuva Morcha will hold agitations against this injustice. Instead of restoring peace in the district, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai are unnecessarily creating disharmony in the society. People in the district are suffering from this. The police are aware about who pelted stones during the funeral procession of RSS activist Sharath. We strongly condemn the booking of innocent BJP and Hindu leaders in the incident. Despite this, if the police department arrests our leaders, they should be responsible for future consequences in the district.”
“Case has been been booked against Sathyajith Surthkal, Sharan Pumpwell, Harish Poonja, Murlikrishna but they were not present at the incident spot. Despite section 144 in Bantwal more than 4-5 series of attacks have taken place. This issue should be handed over to NIA”, he demanded.
Several such incidents have occurred in Bantwal and hence the district in-charge minister should submit his resignation, he added.
Rakshith Kottary, Sandeep Shetty and Nandan Mallya were present.
