Mangaluru: A car driver has been killed on the spot after a dead tree fell on him at Addahole under Uppinangady Police Station limits on Sunday January 2.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh, a native of Bengaluru who was heading towards his place with family from Mangaluru when the mishap occurred. It is said that Suresh had stopped the car in NH – 75 to check the sound of the car by opening the bonnet. Within two minutes a dead tree fell on the car killing him on the spot. His wife and two children escaped unhurt.
Uppinangady police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
