Mangaluru: A book `Sailing With Resilience`, which contains the details of Ivan D’Souza as a legislator for the fourth year was released at Hotel Kudla in Balmatta on Tuesday, November 13.
Ivan has already released three books which compiled all the details of his achievements as a legislator in the last three years. As it was the fourth year as the legislator, he come out with another book titled `Sailing with Resilience` which was released by St. Aloysius College Registrar Dr. A M Narahari.
After releasing the book, Narahari said, “Ivan D’Souza is a dynamic leader with great ambition. All the details contained in the book are true and there are no exaggerations in it. Ivan keeps very less time for himself and is always busy in solving the problems of the public. Hence, he has emerged as a very successful leader and he has a bright future”, he said.
Ivan D’Souza recalled his hardships before and after he entered politics. “I started my political career in 1984 as a member of Mandala Panchayat and it is after 34 years of continued, rigorous and dedicated work that I had the opportunity to serve the state as a legislator. I have made an honest attempt to reach the benefits of the government programmes to the people without hurting anyone in the process. I am determined and committed to serving the people with the same vigour and dedication in the future too”, he added.
The book comprises the details about appropriate use of the legislator’s fund, various development works, a bird’s eye view of Ivan’s achievements during 2017-18, images of attending the public programmes, his discussions in television media among others.
Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Bhaskar K, Deputy Mayor Mohammed K, former registrar of Mangalore University Dr. K Janardhan, Prof. Vasudeva Belle, SCDCC Bank Director Belapu Deviprasad Shetty, Ivan’s wife Dr. Kavitha Ivan D’Souza, Shree Devi Education Trust Chairman A Sadananda Shetty among others were present.
