Mangaluru: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to open Aadhaar registration and update centres in its nine customer service centres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district.
Aadhaar Card is a unique identification number issued to every resident of India. An Aadhaar card is as significant as a PAN card for an Indian citizen, if not more. Many use it as an ID proof too. Hence, now UIDAI has allowed BSNL to open Aaadhar registration and update centres in twin districts.
A press release from the BSNL informed that among the nine centres, six centres will be in Dakshina Kannada district and the remaining in Udupi district. The centres in Dakshina Kannada will be at Paradigm Plaza in A B Shetty Circle, Kavoor, Bajpe, Uppinangady, Puttur and in Moodbidri. The remaining centres will be in Udupi’s Kaup and Brahmavar.
