Bantwal : A child died and 6 others members of a family were injured in an accident, when the car in which they were travelling veered off the road at a sharp curve and hit a wayside tree at Badagundi near Manihalla this evening.
Germain, Roshan,Lavita, Cicilia, Baretto and Omni van driver Robin were grievously injured in the accident. Among two children , a year-old child died and the other 3-year-old seriously injured.
Six injured family members, all residents of Badagundi were rushed to a nearby private hospital soon after the incident. The accident occurred when the family was on its way home from a beach outing. The driver hit a wayside tree, when the car veered off the road after he lost control over the vehicle.
Among the injured, Roshan employed in Kuwait was scheduled to leave tomorrow after spending Christmas holidays with his family members.
Condition of few of the injured is said to be critical
Bantwal traffic police are investigating further.
