Mangaluru: The CCB police on Sunday January 17, arrested a person who was wanted in several cattle theft cases.
The arrested is identified as Muhammed Sharief alias Military Sharief (36), a resident of Kasaba Bengre. He was arrested near Central Railway Station
here.
Several cases pertaining to cattle theft stand registered against him at various police stations in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru.
It is learnt that he used to evade court appearances after coming out on bail after arrests.
It is also said that he is a habitual offender and several cases of fraud and theft also have been registered against him.
