Chitradurga-based man arrested after two years for cyber crime

Mangaluru: On accusations of bringing down police morale and defaming the family of police during 2019 CAA NRC protest in Mangaluru, a Chitradurga-based man has been taken under custody by the Cyber Crime police.

The arrested man has been identified as Yogi alias Yogesh S. from Palavvanahalli village of  Chidradurga district. The man has been facing accusations of opening a fake social media account on Facebook and publishing articles against police. A case was filed regarding the same with Cyber Crime police station. And now nearly after 2 years the accused has been taken into custody. The man was produced at the court and has been remanded two weeks of judicial custody.
