Mangaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will be attending a grand programme ‘Tuluchithra Shathothsava’ being organised to mark the completion of 100 films in Tulu film industry, by Coastalwood Artist and Technicians Cultural Association (CATCA) at Nehru Maidan on January 27.
The films in Tulu language started coming on the silver screen after 1971 and ‘Enna Thangadi’ was the first film. With the release of the latest film ‘Karne’, Tulu film industry has completed its 100 films. To mark this memorable moment, CATCA is planning to organise this mega event, which will be inaugurated by the Karavali Group of Colleges, Chairman S Ganesh Rao and presided over by Mayor Bhaskar K.
Informing about the programme, Honorary President of CATCA Kishore D Shetty on Friday, January 24 said, Sandalwood actors like Rocking Star Yash, Loose Mada Yogish, music director Gurukiran, actress Rachitha Ram, Amulya among others will be participating in the event. Meanwhile, the members of the association would submit a memorandum to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy about the problems Tulu film industry is facing, he informed
