Mangaluru: Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal asserted that none of his party legislators would like to exit from the party and the coalition government in Karnataka would complete its full term of five years.
Speaking to the reporters at Circuit House on Sunday, February 3 Venugopal said, “though there may be some misunderstandings between the leaders, it will be sorted out swiftly. As some Congress leaders had issued comments which led to possible friction in the party, we have already sought clarification from such leaders and asked them not to make such damaging statements.”
Venugopal alleged that the BJP is still trying to lure MLAs of other parties in order to destabilise the government. As our MLAs are refusing to budge, the BJP leaders have become desperate now. I am confident that even a single MLA would not be ready to join the BJP and coalition government would continue until its full term”, he said.
Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister U T Khader, MLC Ivan D’Souza, former minister B Ramanath Rai, Mayor Bhaskar K among others were present.
