Kasaragod: A degree student who tried to kill herself 2 days ago by self immolation eventually succumbed to burns on October 27.
Deepanajali, aged 21, resident of Panayal in Udma is the deceased.
Student at a college in Kanhangad, Deepanjali, Daughter of Raghavan, had doused herself in Kerosene on October 26. Neighbours on hearing her cries had rushed her to a private hospital in Mangaluru immediately. Due to the nature of burns she failed to recover and eventually died. The reason behind her suicide is not known.
Bedadka police have registered a case and further investigation is in progress.
