Mangaluru: Sports columnist S Jagadischandra Anchan Sootarpete, who has been writing articles on sports for the past three decades, has been selected for the prestigious K A Nettakalappa state award.
This award was instituted by the Karnataka Working Journalists Association. It can be noted that Jagadish has written over 1000 sports articles so far for state and district-level newspapers over the course of his career. He has also written a book “Vishwa Cup Cricket” which comprises details about the world cup matches held over the years.
The award will be presented during the journalists’ state-level conference scheduled to be held at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall on March 7 and 8.
