Mangaluru: Mangaluru Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha, on Monday, March 23, warned of stringent action against those who violate the guidelines of the district administration.

Even though prohibitory orders were imposed in the Dakshina Kannada district after a positive COVID-19 case was reported, people were seen wandering the streets casually. Police personnel placed barricades in key parts of the city and asked the people not to leave their homes unless there is an emergency.

Pointing out to these incidents, the Police Commissioner asked the people follow the district administration’s instructions and warned of strict action against those who violate the guidelines.

Meanwhile, he asked the people to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of COVID-19.
