Mangaluru: District In-charge Minister U T Khader has said that the final list of the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections would be finalized by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and All India Congress Committee and that he is not the candidate for the LS polls, here on Thursday, February 28.
Addressing the media at the Circuit House, he said that there are rumors that he has been handpicked as the LS Candidate from Congress for the DK constituency, which he refuted.
He further said that the Congress party was the only party in which there is a right to ask for a ticket to contest the election, unlike any other political party.
He said that there is a democratic setup in the Congress party and even other political party’s recommendations too are welcomed and taken into consideration.
UTK ensured that the training regarding the campaigning for Lok Sabha elections in booth and district level were initiated and election preparations were on a full wing in the district.
