Mangaluru: The Congress will hold a protest to condemn the rape of a 11-year-old girl by a madrasa cleric in Delhi on Monday, April 30 evening in Surathkal, informed corporator Prathiba Kulai.
Addressing a press meet at DCC office Prathibha Kulai said, “After I condemned the Kathua incident, a few people have started to post derogatory comments against me stating that why I am now condemning the rape incident in Delhi.”
“I will not discriminate in the name of caste, religion to condemn the sexual assault on women. I have questioned Prime Minster Narendra Modi on increasing sexual assaults on women. But I was being trolled in social media saying that I do not have the right to question Narendra Modi. I have the right to question Narendra Modi, as I am a citizen of this country. Prime Minister who tells ‘Beti Bachao’ has failed to protect the women in the country.”
She also questioned BJP leaders as to why they are not raising their voice against murder of Vinayaka Baliga and Harish Poojary in Bantwal.
