Mangaluru: The container boxes which were being stored near the government school at Angaragundi, Baikampady rolled over the building damaging it on Monday, November 19 morning.
The incident occurred at Angaragundi Higher Primary School which is located at Baikampady Industrial Area. The container boxes were being stored near the school by a private institution. Later, they collapsed over the wall of the school building. As the result, the laterite stones of the school building collapsed. As the incident took place when none was at school, no casualties were reported. When the incident came to light, the parents and other members of the public gathered at the school and took to task the private institution which stored the container boxes. However, it is said that that institution has promised to set right the damage.
School headmistress Ravikala Shetty filed a case at Panambur Police Station in this regard.
