Kasargod: Even as the news of death of Hafeezuddin (26), one of the youth from Padanna near Chervathur who is suspected to have joined the IS is making rounds, the police still seems to be not in a position to confirm the same.
It was said that Hafeezuddin was killed in a drone attack in Afghanistan.
The police are still ascertaining if the information received by the family members of the youth over whatsapp, which shows the body of the youth lying on the ground is authentic or not.
As many as 17 youth from this area had gone missing in June, 2016. But, the police could not trace them out. Finally, the news of these youth having fled to join the IS came to light.
Meanwhile, scores of people, including relatives have been smugly visiting Hafeezuddin’s family to condole the death of the youth.
