In her message to the public, the DC said that elders over the age of 60 need the maximum care as they are more vulnerable to the infection.

“They should be kept in a room which has proper ventilation and light. Proper care should be taken to ensure they don’t go out. Their caretakers should maintain three metres distance while assisting them in their work. Only healthy persons should take care of the elders and should wash their hands frequently with sanitizers. If any elders display symptoms of cough or cold, they should be taken to a hospital immediately,” she said.

“Even though it is very difficult to follow these directions in our lives, thy are the need of the hour. COVID-19 has been spreading fast in the recent days,” the DC stressed.
