Mangaluru: “India will attain the ‘Vishwa Guru’ status only under the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, opined Bharatiya Janata Party’s senior leader and former minister Suresh Kumar on Tuesday, April 9.
He was addressing the 24th ward BJP workers at the Ramanjaneya Yuvaka Mandala auditorium at Chilimbigudde. He said, ”The Dakshina Kannada district has been the stronghold of BJP from the past three decades. BJP’s MP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel has done several developmental works for the Dakshina Kannada district. Hence, people should vote for him in order to strengthen the power of Modi in the Centre”, he said.
Meanwhile, he asked the public to exercise their voting right properly. “Voting is our constitutional right and everyone should cast their precious vote”, he said.
Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath predicted that Nalin Kumar Kateel would secure victory with a margin of over 2 lakh votes. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has planned to completely root out corruption from the country. Meanwhile, he has been attempting to eradicate terrorist activities in the country. In order to construct a strong nation, people should support BJP”, he said.
Programme Convener and BJP leader Rajgopal Rai compered the programme and Ward President Suresh Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.
