Mangaluru: A total of 49 persons have tested positive for Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada district today. With these fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19 cases has now reached 576 in Dakshina Kannada district.
Among the 49 persons who tested positive for the disease today, 14 persons had come from abroad like Saudi Arabia, Damam, Dubai, Sharjah and Qatar, three cases are related to Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and four cases are pertaining to Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). A total of 22 persons infected were primary contacts of Covid-19 patients and remaining six persons have neither any travel history nor they have contacts of Covid-19 patients.
Meanwhile, a total of 38 persons have discharged from Wenlock hospital after recovering from the disease today. With this, the total number of discharged patients after recovering from the disease reached 416 in DK district.
