Mangaluru: Within hours of visiting the district Wenlock Hospital and taking stock of the situation, BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, on Tuesday, March 24, informed that he has set up a “war room” at his office to tackle the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In an interview with a Mangaluru-based English news portal, the MP said that he and his team have set up a help desk so that the people can contact and find out more information pertaining to doctors/ambulance services, information/government services, city corporation services, food services, district coordination etc.

Responding to the viral audio clip of a conversation between two persons, one of whom is alleged to be a Wenlock Hospital staff, the MP said that this is not the time for allegations or looking for loopholes. “We should be focused on medication and prevention of coronavirus. The Wenlock Hospital and the district administration are working hard to tackle the spread of the disease. We do whatever is necessary to set things right in the near future,” he added.
