Mangaluru: With the spike in Covid-19 cases in the city, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to shut its office located at Lalbagh for a week.

This decision was taken jointly by Mayor Divakar Pandeshwar and Commissioner Shanady Ajith Kumar Hegde.

Mayor Divakar Pandeshwar speaking to Newskarnataka.com confirmed that the MCC office will be shut for a week from Monday, June 29.

“As the number of Covid-19 cases has been rising day by day, this decision was inevitable. Prior to this, we found infection only in foreign returnees. But now, it seems like it is spreading to the community. Hence, the MCC office will be shut for a week. Further decisions will be taken only after a week,” he informed.
