Mangaluru: In a ceremony held at Hotel Roopa Comforts, D B Mehta took charge as the president of CREDAI here on April 6.
The new CREDAI office bearers include Dheeraj Amin, vice president, Naveen Cardoza, secretary, Vinod Pinto, joint secretary, Errol Pinto, treasurer.
Sanath Shetty, Srinath Hebbar, Arshad, Siraj Ahmed, Hyder Ali and Laxmeesh Bhandary from the executive committee also assumed charge.
The outgoing president Pushparaj Jain while speaking on the occasion said initially when the president’s post was transfered to him by PM Razak in 2013, he thought he would not handle it as generally construction field is considered as tough one. Today I am satisfied with complete fruitful tenure of two years.
The new president urged on the occasion that there should be builders in the policy making process and politicians must look into this demand.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel appreciated CREDAI in promoting real estate business. He said that there is a need to promote industries, tourism and the coastal region thereby develop Mangaluru city.
Mangaluru south MLA congragulating the new president said CREDAI has faced lot of problems. The team led by Pushparaj Jain has developed the assoication into a promising as well as strong thorough investment.
