Mangaluru: Crystal Paladka, a fifth grader was recently placed second in a national-level abacus completion that was recently held in Bengaluru. Crystal is also a state-level competitor and has won many accolades.
She is the daughter of Deepak Paladka a well-known seasoned actor of the Tulu, Konkani and Kannada film industries, and Roshni Paladka, a beautician, who trained and groomed Crystal all through her life. The family recently moved to back to Mangaluru from Dubai.
Crystal is a fifth-grade student of Carmel Convent School, Moodubidri. Like her father, she is also a talented actor as she worked in her first international Tulu Movie ‘Nirel’ when she was only a child. She has also done a few stints as a model for a branded boutique in Dubai.
An intelligent student born and brought up in Dubai, Crystal quickly adapted to the Indian culture after moving back home. She even quickly picked up the local Kannada language in a short span of time, thus proving that ‘where there is a will there is a way’.
