Cyclone Ockhi: Missing fisherman found dead

 Kasargod: The dead body of a fisherman, who went missing on the morning of December 1 due to turbulent weather conditions triggered by Cyclone Ockhi, was recovered three nautical miles away from the Ajanoor Sea shore.

The deceased is Sunil Kumar (45) of Neeleshwar. Sunil Kumar along with two others had ventured into the sea for fishing on December 1.The Coastal Security Police had rescued two youth, but Sunil Kumar went missing after the incident.

Since the past two days, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner K Jeevan Babu, the Coastal Security Police, Fire Service brigade and local fishermen were involved in the search for Sunil.

His body was found on Sunday night, three nautical miles away from the Ajanoor Sea shore.
