Mangaluru: District commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV visited the Covid ward of Wenlock district hospital and met the Covid patients on Thursday, April 29.
DC has instructed the District Surgeon to move the Suspect Ward to an old medical block, including a dialysis room on the first floor of the hospital, and to increase the capacity of 15 ventilator ICUs into 50.
The discussion was made of appointing 50 staff nurses immediately.
He discussed with the hospital authorities to shift the Covid patients with non-acute symptoms (Category-A, Category-B who do not require oxygen), to ESI hospital.
