Mangaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has asked the sugarcane farmers to withdraw their protest and promised to take all essential measures to fulfill their demands at the earliest.
Speaking to the reporters at the Mangalore International Airport (MIA) on Friday, November 16, Kumaraswamy said, “I will visit Belagavi on Monday and discuss with farmers. I have already discussed with some of the leaders and assured of fulfilling their demands. As the government is ready to address the problems of the farmers and meet the demands of sugarcane growers, the protesters should stop agitating”, he said
We will take all into confidence all before taking a decision: Deve Gowda
Former prime minister and Janata Dal (S) National President H D Deve Gowda said that a decision would be taken to ensure that no one would get hurt in the mayoral election in Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). “As there is a coalition government in the state, we would not like to hurt anybody. After taking into confidence all, the final decision will be taken”, he said.
Both Kumarawamy and H D Deve Gowda had come to the city to attend a wedding reception of MLC B M Farooq’s daughter at Ullal.
