Mangaluru: Display boards on ‘Sakala’ must be installed in all government offices and if officials refuse to provide services under the scheme, strict action will be taken against them, cautioned Additional Deputy Commissioner M J Roopa on Monday, February 3.
Speaking at a meeting on ‘Sakala’ services at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, she said that the district is already ranked low in the implementation of ‘Sakala’ services. “The officials should provide all services under this scheme to the public on time. As there have been several complaints on non-cooperation of officials, action will be taken against them,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, she asked all the officials to be aware of all the information about the Act. “It is the responsibility of the concerned officer to provide services to all persons applying under ‘Sakala’. All departments should accept applications under ‘Sakala’ and provide service on time. The district should do better in the next day, so that it is in a better position,” she said
Officers from various government departments were present.
