Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district administration observed 148th birth anniversary of Mahathma Gandhi here on Monday, October 2.
After garlanding the statue of Mahathma Gandhi in Gandhi Park, MLA JR Lobo said “people of the country should spend time in remembering great leaders like Mahathma Gandhi who fought for the freedom of the nation through non-violence. We should imbibe his principles in our life and practice It. Principles of Mahathma Gandhi are relevant in all times”.
During this occasion Rudrappa a retired civic worker of the MCC was felicitated.
