Mangaluru: A team from the district administration visited the KMC Hospital in Attavar on Monday, July 13, to understand the procedures and protocols followed for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The team was led by MP and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, district-in charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Roopesh, and Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath. The District Health Officer and team visited the hospital and understood in detail the modules followed for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The team also enquired about the treatment options under the Ayushman Bharath and other schemes for Covid-19 patients and also understood the clinical guidelines and protocols followed at KMC Hospital.
During the over 1-hour long meeting with Dr. Deepak Madi, Deputy Medical Superintendent presented the various protocols and guidelines followed at the Hospital for treatment of Covid-19 Patients. The team appreciated the efforts, structured methods and clinical excellence standards in treating Covid-19 patients.
The visiting team was delighted to see the way the Ayushman Bharath Scheme for Covid-19 patients was operating at the Hospital and also expressed their appreciation of the same. The statistics of various Covid patients tested, treated and discharged were also presented to the team on the occasion.
Additionally, the hospital’s administration team gave the visiting team many suggestions.
Dr. Alfred J Augustine, Additional Dean KMC Mangalore, Dr. Srikala Baliga- Director, KMC Laboratory Services, Raviraj- AGM Administration, Rakesh -Incharge Public Relations and management team of the Hospital were also present.
