Mangaluru: Speaking at a press conference held here on Monday March 29, District Congress president, Harish Kumar said that he condemns the attack on Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, D K Shivakumar’s convoy by the supporters of Ramesh Jarkiholi at Belagavi.

Harish Kumar said that despite section 376, Ramesh Jarkiholi has not been arrested and is roaming freely in public places, giving statements. “The government needs to tell why any action has not been taken so far. We suspect that the SIT is under the clutches of the minister. We also urge for a probe into the case by a retired high court judge,” he said.

He further said, “they pelted stones at his convoy. If they have any issues, let them do it in a legal way.”

Harish Kumar said that the Bypolls are set to be in the state and the government seems to be frustrated and is getting involved in such incidents.
