Mangaluru: The city police raided the district jail at Kodialbail on Sunday, July 24.
The raid took place early in the morning at 4 am. Police personnel were seen all around the prison with canine squad and metal detectors.
According to police sources, it was a normal raid by the prison authorities. Two mobile phones and a couple of SIM card were seized during the raid.
DCP Crime Dr Sanjeev Patil, DCP Law and Order Shantharaju, ACPs and inspectors from Kadri, Pandeshwar, Bunder and other police stations and personnel from KSRP and CRP participated in the raid.
