Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district A B Ibrahim was one of the 27 IAS officers transferred in the State on Thursday, July 21.

A B Ibrahim was transferred to Bengaluru as the commissioner of transport and road safety.
Dr K G Jagadeesh, an IAS officer of 2005 batch has been appointed the new Deputy Commissioner of DK district. He has earlier served as the DC of Kalaburagi district and was the first DC of Yadgir district.
Ibrahim was appointed as the DC of DK district in the end of 2013. He was known to be a people-friendly officer.
The new DC, Dr K G Jagadeesh is currently serving as the Managing Director of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) in Bengaluru. He had also served as the director of horticulture, assistant commissioner of Kalaburagi sub-division and commissioner of Kalaburagi City Corporation.
Also, T Venkatesh, an IAS officer of 2010 batch has been appointed as the DC of Udupi. The post had been lying vacant since the transfer of R Vishal on June 24. Udupi Zilla Panchayat CEO Priyanka Mary Francis was given additional charge till the appointment of new DC.
Venkatesh is currently serving as member of Karnataka Appellate Tribunal, Bengaluru.
