Mangaluru: The rains in Dakshina Kannada subsided and the district experienced light showers on Saturday May 21.
Udupi too experienced a similar situation. In Karkala, Udupi, and other taluks in the district, the skies were cloudy throughout the day with intermittent light showers.
The IMD issued a yellow alert on May 22 due to forecasted rain along the coast.
DK District In-Charge Secretary V. Ponnuraj met with district officials on Saturday at the DC’s office to discuss preparations for the next monsoon season. He ordered the officials to make proper preparations for the monsoon.
