Mangaluru: The 4th District Conference of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on November 21 at Kudmul Rangarao Town Hall.
The conference will be chaired by Shivananda Tagadur, the President of the Karnataka Working Journalists Association, while the inaugural function will be presided over by District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, announced Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association, during a press conference.
The conference is scheduled to commence at 9 am, with the inaugural function slated for 10 am onwards.
The conference will feature a keynote session titled ‘New Dimensions of Journalism.’ Aravind Namada, Editor of Udayavani Daily, will preside over the session, and B. Ravindra Shetty, Local Editor of Vijaya Karnataka, along with Harsha, Mangaluru Bureau Head of Deccan Herald, will deliver the keynote address. Additionally, there will be a cultural program and a photo exhibition showcasing the work of representatives from various taluk units of Dakshina Kannada district.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath will unveil a commemorative booklet, and Dr. Y Bharath Shetty will inaugurate the photo exhibition. The green-breath program will be launched by Harish Poonja, while Rajesh Naik will inaugurate the conference. Shri Nivas Nayak Indaje, President of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association, will deliver the valedictory address. Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Sudheer Shetty will unveil the conference kits.
