Mangaluru: The District Medical Officer (DHO) Dr Rajeshwari Devi H R has been transferred to Bantwal as the chief medical officer of the taluk hospital. Dr Sadashiv will take her place in Mangaluru with immediate effect.
Under the direction of the Governor of Karnataka, Deputy Secretary N Lakshman issued this order. The two have to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
Earlier, Dr Sadashiv served as the chief medical officer at the Government Taluk Hospital in Bantwal.
It can be recalled that a few days ago, an audio clipping of a conversation between two women about the treatment of COVID-19 patients at Wenlock Hospital had gone viral. In the audio clip, one woman was heard accusing Dr Rajeshwari Devi of failing to take utmost care regarding the COVID-19 patients.
