Belthangady: Dharmadhikari of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple, Dr D Veerendra Heggade inspected the flood affected areas and visited the rehabilitation centre at Laila, here on Sunday, August 11.
He visited Charmadi, Kolli, Killur and Didupe and gathered information on the loss incurred due to floods and about the flood victims.
Later, he spoke with the flood victims and assured them that welfare schemes of Dharmasthala along with the government support would be given.
“People who have lost their homes need not fear. We are with you. Already, I’ve directed the volunteers working in various projects of Dharmasthala to carry out a survey and submit a report. Once that is done, we, along with the government will provide whatever is necessary”, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, MLA Harish Poonja, Dharmasthala project in-charge Jayakar Shetty and others were present.
