Mangaluru: Dr. Rajendra K. V., Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, has approved the functioning of multiplexes, cinema halls, and theatres in 100 per cent capacity. However, people who have received both doses of the vaccine will be permitted to enter the malls and theatres.

According to the reports, many people are still hesitant to get vaccinated. Thus, Dakshina Kannada officials have made it mandatory to allow people in malls and theatre who have received both vaccine doses. This decision will be strictly enforced, and officials will keep an eye out for anyone who have not been vaccinated and take action against them.

Though the District and the City still report few Covid positive cases, during festival season, there is a chance that things will get worse. As a result, the City Corporation wants to get rid of the chances of a possible third wave. The work of identifying those who have not yet received vaccines and ensuring that they do so is currently underway. Officials will interrogate anyone moving about after October 16 who do not have a record of vaccinations.
