Mangaluru: The locals were enraged when an intoxicated young girl rode her two-wheeler in a dangerous manner on M G Road in the city on the night of Saturday, September 1.
The girl rode recklessly while overtaking many vehicles in the process. This act of the girl was noticed by an auto rickshaw driver who instructed her to stop between PVS and Navbharath area, where the girl was questioned by the public. Realising the situation she was in, she apologised to the crowd and begged for mercy when she noticed that they were calling the police.
However, the crowd was enraged further when she made an attempt to pay money to them. The people had called the police, but since the police did not reach on time, the girl left the spot. Recently there have been a lot of complaints regarding joyriding by young boys and girls. This kind of reckless behaviour has often ended in accidents.
