Express parcel service provider DTDC opens two new offices in M’luru

Mangaluru: Express parcel service provider DTDC has set up two new offices near Urwa Market and Pumpwell, in the city. The two new offices were formally inaugurated on Friday, November 2.

The 4000 sq ft office is located at Pai Compound, near Akshaya Patra and Koragajja Gudi in Urwa Market and another office with an area of 700 sq fts located at Door No. 10-222/6, Bhaskar Complex, Mahaveer Complex, Kankanady, Pumpwell, Mangaluru.

DTDC Chairman and Managing Director Subhasish Chakraborthy and executive Director Abhishek Chakraborthy attended the inaugural ceremony.

After the inaugural of the two offices, both chairman and executive director of DTDC spoke to the mediapersons and expressed their pleasure over expanding their business in coastal Karnataka. Chairman Subhasish Chakraborthy said, “as e-commerce transactions in the region are growing very fast now, DTDC has further strengthened its ability to efficiently meet the increasing demand for logistical services in South India. The coastal town of Mangaluru and Udupi are important strategic locations as they are located close to important towns in the neighbouring state Kerala such as Kannur and Kozhikode. Hence, there is a plan to open more than 75 new offices in undivided Dakshina Kannada district in the next three years,“ he said.

Speaking about the business of the DTDC at the national and international level, executive director Abhishek Chakraborthy said,“DTDC’s expansive footprint spans across USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Singapore, and major Asian countries through its own operation, joint ventures and business associates. It has 7 zonal offices, 20 strategically located regional officers and over 522 operating facilities spread across India. It is handling more than 12 shipments every month“, he added.
