In an unfortunate incident within the jurisdiction of Bellare police station, a pillion rider lost his life on Thursday night. According to the complaint lodged by Jabbar K, aged 40, the accident occurred when Mahammed Razik was riding pillion on a bike driven by his relative Mahammad Musab in Boradka, Peruvaje village of Sullia Taluk.
The mishap took place when Mahammad Musab, allegedly riding negligently, collided with a tree, causing both riders to fall from the bike. Jabbar K, who was traveling in a car, halted at the scene and promptly transported both injured individuals to Puttur Government Hospital for medical assistance. Sadly, Mahammed Razik succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Meanwhile, Mahammad Musab remains hospitalized for treatment.
The Bellare police station has registered a case regarding the incident, initiating further investigation into the matter.
