Belthangady: In a distressing incident, a 75-year-old man named Krishnaiah Achar, residing in Ujire village’s Kodekallu area, fatally stabbed his 30-year-old son, Jagadish. This shocking act resulted from a heated argument between the father and son, which initially began over a medical treatment record.

As the disagreement escalated, Krishnayya Achar retreated to a room within their home, unintentionally injuring his son Jagadish’s foot while trying to open the door. In a fit of rage, Krishnayya Achar retrieved a knife from a cupboard and plunged it into Jagadish’s left shoulder and chest. The violent altercation tragically led to Jagadish’s untimely death.

A formal complaint lodged by Jagadish’s elder brother Ganesh has prompted the Belthangady Police Station to register a case under Section 107/2023. Additionally, they have initiated a case under Section 302 IPC against Krishnaiah Achar for his involvement in this tragic incident.
