Bantwal : The locals of Sambarathota at Fajir protested against the lack of basic facilities and other irregularities by the government agencies in their village on Wednesday April 2. They have now threatened to boycott elections if their problems are not solved.
“Different parties over the years have promised development but nothing concrete has emerged. It is common to see politicians coming during elections and making hollow promises,” they said.
KIADB had promised to supply water to the villagers while laying pipes from dam which has not been fulfilled. As there is no drainage, the waste water flows to the residential area, they alleged and also pointed out to various other discrepancies.
