Fire breaks out in temporary market in Surathkal

Mangaluru: Atleast eight shops were engulfed in a fire that broke out near a temporary market constructed in Surathkal, during wee hours of Wednesday.

As per reports, three shops, including a fruit stall were completely damaged in the incident. Estimated loss for the fruit vendor is approximately Rs 2 lakhs.

The fire service officer has said that a short circuit may have led to the fire. Two fire tenders were pressed into action to douse off the fire.
