Mangaluru: A total of 378 students from Father Muller Medical College and College of speech and hearing received graduation certificates, during the ‘Graduation Ceremony’ programme, organised at Father Muller Convention Centre on Saturday, February 23.
Prof Dr Zabidi AM Hussin, Vice Chancellor, Peradana University, Malaysia presented the graduation certificates to students. Meanwhile, those students who brought laurels to the institution with their outstanding academic performance were also honoured with medals.
After presenting the certificates, Prof Zabidi AM Hussin wished success to the students and also asked the graduates to execute their duty with utmost conscience and dignity.
Dean of Fr. Muller Medical College Dr. J. P. Alva and Principal of Fr Muller College of Speech and Hearing Prof Akhilesh P M placed the annual report of the college on the occasion. Later, they administered the oath to the graduates.
Presiding over the programme, Bishop of Mangaluru Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha asked the graduates to render their duty with utmost care and compassion. He also asked them to strictly follow medical ethics and not use their medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity.
Fr Muller Charitable Institutions Director Rev Fr Richard A Coelho welcomed the gathering and administrator Rev Fr Ajith B Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
Father Muller Medical College Hospital administrator Rev Fr Rudolph R D’Sa, assistant administrator Rev Fr Nelson D Pais, vice dean Dr Padmaja Udaya Kumar, medical superintendent Dr Uday Kumar K, chief of research Dr B Sanjeev Rai among others were present.
