Mangaluru: Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHC) jointly organised a state-level shuttle badminton tournament – 2020 at the former’s indoor stadium on Tuesday, March 3.
Inaugurating the tournament, Father Muller Charitable Institutions Director Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho said, “Success and defeat are very common in any sports event and those who are defeat should take it as a stepping stone to success.”
RGUHC syndicate member Dr Shivasharan Shetty expressed his happiness with the participants who came from different parts of the state. “Sports combines all and it creates a strong bond between the participants,” he added.
The shuttle badminton tournament was held for boys, girls, and teachers and students from various colleges participated in the event.
Father Muller Medical College Hospital administrators Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Rev Fr Ajith B Menezes, Dean Dr Jayaprakash Alva, physical education instructor Chandrashekhara S N, Dr Kishore Kumar C M and others were present.
