Four men involved in shooting police men, arrested

Bantwal: Four men including a gang chief were arrested in Budoli, Peraje village who were involved in shooting police men including a person of sub-inspector rank at Kodange check post at Salettur on the Kerala-Karnataka border and absconding so far.

The miscreants have been identified as gang leader Abdul Rahiman AKA Rahim (25), Rakesh Kishore (27) AKA, Rocky Boy, resident of Mukund Nagar, Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and other gang members Mohammed Fayaz AKA Koova Fayaz (22) and Haider Ali (20).

The suspects were arrested by the police when they were traveling in a car.

Kuva Fayaz was wanted in the Manjeshwar station in Kerala for assault, robbery, murder, illegal weapon use, murder attempt in Kumble, marijuana case in Andhra Pradesh among others. Raheem is charged with illegal arms use, marijuana trafficking, attempted murder, and kidnapping among others.

Guns, pistols, bullets and a car has been seized from the arrested.
