Mangaluru: A man who had fled abroad after being granted bail in a 2016 case of rioting and assault within the Mangaluru Rural police station jurisdiction has been apprehended by law enforcement.
The accused has been identified as Tauseef (27), a resident of Faizal Nagar in Bajal. He had eluded authorities for the past four years, failing to appear in court and successfully evading police detection. Consequently, the Mangaluru Rural police had issued a lookout notice for him.
On October 14, he landed Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with the intention of traveling to Mangaluru from Saudi Arabia. During this time, immigration officials in Mumbai verified the existence of a lookout notice for him and promptly communicated this information to the Mangaluru Rural police station.
