Unbelievable, but true, a ten-year-old girl lost her life after the nylon saree used to make a swing swirled around her neck, strangling her to death a Pavoor near Manjeshwar.
The deceased is Ashwitha, daughter of Harish, living near Pavoor post office. She was studying in V standard in Udyavaragudde Govt school.
A saree was tied to a tree to make swing near her house. On Sunday, as the girl was playing, the saree swirled around her neck, rendering her dead. She was rushed to Mangaluru, but no treatment yielded any result.
