Girls’ hostel of Karnataka Polytechnic college inaugurated

Mangaluru: T. B. Jayachandra Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Higher Education inaugurated the new girls hostel of Karnataka Polytechnic college here on Saturday, March 12.

The new hostel has been built at the cost of Rs 1 crore at KPT.

T B Jayachandra, speaking on the occasion said, “Karnataka Polytechnic college, which is a reputed college in the city needs more facilities where more than half of the strength is women students. Fisheries and Youth services and Sports minister Abhayachandra Jain, who studied in this college had urged for more funds to provide infrastructure facilities. In the next financial year, I will try to get more funds in this regard,” he said.

He further said, “People of Dakshina Kannada district are intelligent and skillful. We have plans to start Aerospace Engineering college in Mangaluru.”
