Mangaluru: Gold worth Rs 14.55 lakh has been seized from a passenger who arrived here from Dubai on Sunday, April 18 said customs officials.
The passenger, Arish native of Bantwal in the Dakshina Kannada district has been arrested, a customs release said.
The custom release mentioned that Arish tried to smuggle the 300 grams of gold by hiding it in toys, a trimmer, a water dispenser, and a juicer.
